UPDATE ON CONCEALED CARRY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
This legislation places the qualification of retired law enforcement officers to carry concealed under the control of the Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission, one of two Commissions in North Carolina that certify justice officers and deputy sheriffs.

UPDATE ON RETIREMENT LEGISLATION
Two new retirement bills have been introduced in the Short Session. By new, I mean bills in addition to the two bills that the FOP considers Aits bills,@ which are House Bill 1114 and Senate Bill 1444, that are currently pending.
