
Chris Schenk
2nd Vice President
Chris Schenk began his law enforcement career in 1990. Chris retired from the Salisbury Police Department in 2022. Over Chris’ law enforcement career, he worked in Patrol, Criminal Investigation, SRO, Crime Scene Investigation, Bike Patrol, Drug Interdiction, and Street Crimes Unit. Chris has held the ranks of Master Police Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, and Captain. Chris holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Administration of Justice. Chris is also a North Carolina State Certified Instructor, since 2000, and continues to teach Basic Law Enforcement Training. Chris also obtained the Law Enforcement Supervisor Certification Program.
Chris joined the FOP as a member of the Orange County Lodge. Chris became the President of the Orange County Lodge in the mid 1990’s before moving back to his hometown of Salisbury, NC. Chris became a Charter Member of the Salisbury-Rowan FOP Lodge 87 in 2006. Chris has served in various positions with the Salisbury-Rowan Lodge 87, most recently the President and State Trustee.
Over Chris’ membership with the NC FOP, he has been appointed to the Legal Aid Committee, and the Endorsement Committee. Chris was appointed to the National Fraternal Order of Police, Disaster Area Response Team (DART) by National President Pat Yoes. Chris served the DART on deployments in 2021 in Lafourche Parish, LA when Hurricane Ida caused devastating damage. Chris responded to Fort Myer, FL when Hurricane Ian struck in 2022. Chris also responded to Western NC and Aiken, SC to assist with Hurricane Helene.
Chris became a State Trustee in 2010. Chris then decided to run for the Office of State 2nd Vice President in 2023. During the 2024 Fall Board Meeting and State Conference, Chris was elected to his first term. Chris looks forward to serving the members of the NC FOP.
